Dr R K Mitra

Dr. Rathindra Krishna Mitra was born on 25.12.65 at a small town of Chinsura (Dist. Hooghly , West Bengal ) He have had his primary and secondary educations from Boys’ Anglo Bengali Inter College, Lucknow. He did his B.Sc. from B.S.N.V PG College ,Lucknow. At the age of 21 years , He joined Montfort Inter College ( formerly known as Mahanagar Boys’ Inter College ) , just after his M.Sc. (Physics ) . Since then he has been working there and from 2004, he is working as HOD Physics. He was awarded his Ph.D. (Physics) from Chattrapati Sahuji Maharaj University , Kanpur in 1999

He is the teacher in charge in most of the Science based co curricular activities of his college like Science Exhibition , Science Debates & Workshops. Some of his students got recognitions in the district level and state level competitions .

In 2003 he came in contact with Prof. H.C.Verma of IITKanpur and attended the first National Workshop On Innovative Physics. Since then he has been enjoying and practicing Physics in his day-to-day class room teaching. It has brought total change in his approach towards Physics. It has made him no one to someone in his town Lucknow. Under the banner of Utsahi Physics Teachers group he has traveled many parts of India in attending and conducting Physics workshops and seminars.

He has written following books

1) High School Science 1 ,vol.1(H.M .Publication ,Agra.1st Edison 1993)

2) Gift Of Science in three volumes one each for class 6, 7 & 8 (Vidyarthi Prakashan Saharanpur ).

3) Intermediate Practical Physics ,(H. M. Publication ,Agra )

1) Science Teacher Award from CST ,UP GOV. at Lucknow (2011)

2) Bharat Jyoti Award at New Delhi (2012)

3) Glory of India Award at Bangkok ,Thailand (2012 )
