Young's first double slit experiment

It is interesting to know that the original experiment done by Thomas Young, the so called "Double Slit Experiment" which he presented in Royal Society was done by a single card. A narrow beam of light was made to fall on the cross section of the card and the light going from the two sides of the card made the interference fringes on the screen.
